Ugz smiled! That was all the victory he needed. Rondun smiled at his brother even when he returned to his usual scowl. This was all he needed out of this mission. He let grind his mace down one last time to ensure the creatures death. Before sheathing his shield and mace completely.
“Sure, but let me to make things a little easier.” He turned back to the water. It started to churn a little with dark shadows moving about underneath the surface. His blood must have attracted them, it was a little bit but a good size swarm has landed. Thankfully the log didn’t disintegrate with the monster so he didn’t hesitate to hull the whole thing fully out of the water and put the ends to both side of the shore.
He reequipped the mace again and entered the water. The shadows swarmed about his legs and he could completely confirm they are piranhas. So low levelled they barely made a dent in his health pool, with some miss coming out from above their head. He completely ignored them and just pushed the log to a steadier position before walking all the way to the other side of the shore. Having lost precisely one point of health throughout the whole trek, even with some more determined fish latching on to his feet and not even breaking the leather wrappings around his feet. He just shook them off into the water and waited for Ugz to come back to the other side.
For a moment he thought about just carrying his little brother, but he hasn’t done that since they were little boys and he wasn’t sure if he would appreciate it. Would it be even weirder to voice it out? He didn’t want to coddle him too much, Ugz is a preteen right now and he find it best to let them slowly sort out their head and just be supportive, but he could be just a bit more supportive.
Of course he voiced none of this, just let his thought runs in circle as he waited.
